Symptom: CO reading looks wrong
- Perform the push-button calibration procedure with the calibration gas.
- Verify the reading against a known CO reference concentration.
- Perform the auto-zero in clean air.
- If it will not calibrate or hold zero, the electrochemical sensor is likely spent - fit a new Micro Medical / CareFusion sensor.
- Re-calibrate and re-verify before returning to service.

- Move to clean air away from any CO source and retry.
- Fit a fresh mouthpiece / D-piece and check the sample path for moisture or blockage.
- Allow the sensor to stabilise.
