Privacy at BioDeviceHub

BioDeviceHub is a public technical reference. There are no accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking scripts. This page explains the small amount of data that is handled when you use the site, why, and who else is involved.

The short version

No sign-up, no login, no user profiles. Every page is readable without giving us anything.
No advertising, no analytics or tracking pixels, no third-party marketing cookies.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information. There is nothing to sell.
The only place you actively send us anything is Ask Bio. Those messages answer your question and are not kept in a database.
Our host and a bot-protection service keep short-lived technical logs, the same as any website.

What is actually handled

Four things, all of them ordinary for a website and none of them building a picture of who you are.

Server request logs

Our host records standard web-server information for every request: your IP address, browser user-agent, the page requested, and a timestamp. It is used to run the service, diagnose errors, and stop abuse. It is not combined with anything else to identify you, and no profiles are built from it.

Ask Bio messages

When you send a message to Bio, the text you type goes to our server and then to a third-party AI provider that generates the reply. Your conversation lives in your browser tab only. Our server keeps a short-lived in-memory cache of recent answers (cleared within 30 minutes) and a per-IP counter to rate-limit abuse. There is no chat-history database and no long-term storage of your questions.

Bot verification

The Ask Bio endpoint is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. To confirm a request comes from a real browser, Cloudflare receives a verification token and your IP address. Turnstile is designed not to track people across sites.

On your device

A service worker caches pages and images in your browser so the site loads fast and works offline. That cache never leaves your device and is removed when you clear the site's data. BioDeviceHub sets no advertising or analytics cookies of its own.

Third parties we rely on

Running the site means a few service providers see request traffic. Each is used only for the job listed here.

Vercel

Hosting and content delivery. Processes standard request logs on our behalf.

Their privacy policy

AI inference provider

Runs the language model that generates Bio's answers, through an OpenAI-compatible API. Receives the text of your Bio messages to produce a response.

Cloudflare

Turnstile bot verification on the Ask Bio endpoint.

Their privacy policy

A device page may also link to or embed a document hosted by its manufacturer or another source. That content loads from the third party and is covered by that party's own policy.

What we won't do

Run advertising or sell ad space.
Load analytics, heatmap, or session-recording scripts.
Set tracking cookies or hand data to data brokers.
Sell, rent, or trade personal information.
Require an account or collect names, addresses, or payment details. We take no payments.
Use your Bio questions to train a model of our own.

Your choices

Use the site without JavaScript, or simply don't use Ask Bio, and you send us nothing beyond standard server logs.
Clear the site's data in your browser to remove the offline cache and any Turnstile cookie.
Email us to ask what, if anything, is associated with your IP address, or to request its deletion from our logs. Because the data is minimal and short-lived, most of it ages out on its own within days.
If you are covered by a data-protection law such as the GDPR or CCPA, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Contact us and we will help.

Children and changes

BioDeviceHub is a professional engineering reference and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

If the site's data practices change, this page is updated and the date below is revised. Meaningful changes are noted here rather than made quietly.
