Chemical Indicator strip for monitoring hydrogen peroxide sterilization processes.
Intended use: A sterilization indicator designed to be placed within a sterilizing chamber, and to respond with a characteristic chemical and/or physical change (non-electrical) to one or more of the physical conditions within the chamber, to validate the sterilization process. It may be presented in one of a variety of forms (e.g., tape, test pack, tag). This is a single-use device.
Key tips
- ·A no-signal/flatline alarm gets checked on the patient first, not the monitor - rule out a real clinical event before troubleshooting.
- ·Recalibrate NIBP against a reference manometer, not just a self-test pass.
- ·Reused patient cables (SpO2, ECG leads) are a common source of intermittent-fault complaints - swap the cable before the module.
