• Curlin’s PainSmart® IOD™- is communication-capable (connects with PCs or PDAs); sophisticated (high resolution, user audit trail, accurate, detailed information recording); and feature-rich (very large screen, shift-totals, on-screen hourly totals, highly visible large fonts, quick-repeat and continuous back-light-on with AC power). This unique, innovative device continuously monitors and displays line pressure, to help you detect potential catheter patency problems, such as occlusions, obstructions and pinched off catheters. • PainSmart® IOD™ has the ability to deliver at low rates, a flow resolution that is up to 25 times better than any other ambulatory device on the market. It works in concert with PCs and/or Palm™ PDAs to reduce the risk of programming errors and improve the infusion outcome. These features, along with an extensive information database make PainSmart® IOD™ the device of choice, capable of significantly improving operating performance and safety, at a substantially reduced cost. • Curlin offers a wide variety of accessories that allow users to enhance currently owned pumps or adapt them to new applications. This offering includes “hardware” such as pole mount clamps and many varieties of safety “shells” that prevent tampering and simplify the administration of narcotics. Many software packages are also available to expand a pump’s ability to deliver and monitor pain management and safeguard against accidental misprogramming.
