CO2 Module The 91517 Capnography module uses both main and side stream gas to analyze and measure the carbon dioxide in the gas mixture. This determine ventilatory, circulatory, and metabolic status. The Co2 sensor is self calibrating which prevents interruption of connection while monitoring. Units uses airway adapters, endotracheal, and or tracheostomy tubes while using the mainstream function.

Symptom: Module does not sign on
- Cycle power to the module first.
- Connect it to the monitor with an extender cable and check the interface-board diagnostic LEDs.
- Verify +5 V at J1 pin 2 and +12 V at J1 pin 11 (and -12 V for SDLC).
- Replace the Interface PCBA if the rails are absent or the LEDs are dark.
- For a flash/software error, contact Spacelabs Field Service.
Symptom: Sensor will not stabilise
- Allow up to 7 minutes to warm up.
- Fit a clean, dry airway adapter.
- Swap in a known-good CO2 sensor.
- If the message continues with a good sensor, return the module to Spacelabs.
- Verify a normal capnogram before use.

Multi-parameter command module has a circuit board issue and when in Auto mode, Cardiac Output (CO) measurement may activate early, resulting in Bad Curve error with no CO measurement or Irregular Curve error with CO measurement not automatically excluded, which may result in inaccurate readings, or the need of additional readings, which may lead to delayed care and/or fluid overload.
