Timed by the automatic timing circuit, low power level up to 10 W radio frequency current at a low voltage that generates low tissue temperaturespecifically for Radio Frequency Thermal Ablation (uvulopalatoplasty andtongue base reduction) • Mode III Bipolar non-modulated current for general bipolar surgical procedures and bipolar submucosal turbinate surgery according to Dr. Dennis • DIGITAL READOUT Each mode has an independent digital wattage readout, as does the timing circuit for Radio Frequency Thermal Ablation. • SAFETY CIRCUIT Automatic sensing device cuts off the output if the indifferent patient circuit is defective, and gives visual and audible alarm.Reusable or disposable electrodes may be used.Optional Return Electrode Monitor (REM) may be installed at extra cost. The operation of the ELMED ESU 120 M/M DIGITAL with SMART-O-MATIC is extremely easy. The generator is activated by means of a single pedal footswitch. • SMART-O-MATIC CIRCUIT Our automatic output compensation circuit provides the desired output for all electrodes or tissue conditions.The automatic range control requires no readjustment within the set range. • AUTOMATIC TIMING CIRCUIT The automatic timing circuit is triggered by the footswitch.The time can be selected between 1-10 seconds and is shown on the digital display and it will cut off the current flow as the time has expired, or when the surgeon removes his/her foot from the footswitch. It is reactivated to the same preset specifications by depressing the footswitch.
