Datascope · Model Patient Net DT4500
Frequency range programmable. 3,4 or 5 wire leadset capability. 300 kHz Channel Bandwidth (32 hopping channels). Pacemaker detection.
Compiled for this model from its own documentation and established engineering knowledge for this equipment class - not from a verified service record. Confirm against the manufacturer's service manual.
Symptoms: A bed shows no ECG or dropped beats at the central station, noisy trace, frequent leads-off.
Root cause: Worn transmitter lead set, a weak transmitter battery, or antenna / receiver coverage.
Symptoms: Dropout in specific areas of the unit, multiple beds affected in one zone.
Root cause: Antenna cabling, a splitter / amplifier, or a receiver-module fault.
Symptoms: Central station hangs, will not admit, alarms not annunciating, display frozen.
Root cause: Central-station PC / server, the application, or the network link.
Symptoms: No strip on alarm or on demand.
Root cause: Central recorder / network printer fault.
Symptoms: Timestamps wrong or drifting, full-disclosure gaps.
Root cause: Network time source or connectivity.
Serviceable items for this model, compiled from its documentation and engineering knowledge for this equipment class. Service class and relative cost are estimates, not manufacturer figures; no part numbers are given. Confirm intervals and pricing against the manufacturer.
| Part | Service class | Relative cost | R&R difficulty |
|---|---|---|---|
| Telemetry transmitter lead set | Frequent wear item | $$ | Easy |
| Transmitter battery (per pack) | Consumable | $ | Easy |
| Receiver module / antenna components | Major service part | $$$ | Difficult |
| Central-station PC / server | Major service part | $$$$ | Difficult |
| Network printer / recorder | Major service part | $$ | Fairly easy |
Relative cost: $ lowest · $$$$ highest service-part cost for this equipment class. Not a price.

The Better Bladder device provided as part of some custom tubing kits has been recalled by its manufacturer. Seal separation from the housing may allow air to enter the housing and collapse the balloon. This may increase resistance to flow in the venous line and cause a drop in ECMO circuit blood flow.
A complaint was received on January 1, 2017 stating the pigtail on line 2 of the oxygenator was assembled to the port where the yellow cap and the clear cap remained on the center port.
Custom Tubing Set BEQ-TOP-24100 (Small Patient ECC Pack) was identified as possessing a level of endotoxin that exceeded the regulatory limits.
Non-functioning cable: the Low-Level Output Cable when connected to a Datascope Intra-aortic Ballon Pump (IABP) and patient monitor does not provide a signal to the patient monitor.
Display problems: If an ECG cable, which has been damaged due to the ingress of liquid or by mechanical trauma, is utilized with the Telepack, it may cause the Telepack to switch between the 3-lead and 5 lead-input modes. During the switching process, the digital heart rate displayed at the Panorama Central Station will be frozen, and subsquent arrthymia alarms will not be announced.
Software anomaly that affects the Panorama Telepack where if communications are lost during standby, certain alarms which appear set could be actually off.
The software version contains an anomaly which could freeze the unit when the right click button is used on the mouse.
Upon the new release of software, the firm started receiving reports of unexpected system failures in the database subsystem related to virtual memory pages.
