GE HealthCare · Model eSpeed
Speed and Resolution The e-Speed is the only imaging technology that offers 33, 50, or 100ms True Temporal Resolution™ images at up to 30 frames per second. This type of capability is important because the fastest possible scan modes are required to image high and irregular heart beats often associated with patients with heart disease. The GE e-Speed features additional proprietary technologies including FlexPhase™ triggering and eVoxel™ clarity to better capture images of moving heart and the very small coronary vessels. For example, FlexPhase capability allows physicians to capture images exactly when they need them, at any point or points in the R-to-R interval.

Symptoms: Ring or band artefacts, excessive noise, HU non-uniformity, failed daily air/water calibration.
Root cause: Detector-channel drift or a bad detector module, a DAS fault, or air-cal / tube-output drift.
Symptoms: Tube-arc errors, exposure aborts, kV/mA faults, spits, or noisy bearing; tube pulls high heat units.
Root cause: Anode / bearing wear or vacuum degradation - the CT tube is a wear item.
Symptoms: Rotation faults, comms errors during rotation, brush dust, drive alarms.
Root cause: Worn slip-ring brushes, a drive-belt / bearing fault, or the data-transmission link.
Symptoms: Table drifts, will not index to the correct position, height or cradle errors.
Root cause: Table drive, encoder, or brake fault.
Symptoms: Recon hangs or is slow, images will not send to PACS, console errors.
Root cause: Recon-hardware or console-PC fault, or the network / storage.
Symptoms: Over-temperature warnings, exposures inhibited after a series, coolant alarm.
Root cause: Chiller pump / fan, low coolant, or a blocked heat exchanger.
