Fujifilm · Model Standard Colonoscopes
Vision. Handling. Ergonomics. Speed. Service. These core elements of endoscopy can be found in the design of every Colonoscope. In addition to our reputation for outstanding HD imaging, our Colonoscopes are designed to make driving to the cecum easier and more comfortable for endoscopists due to a lighter control section, reduced angulation torque, and improved control body ergonomics. They also have stepped resilience from the distal tip to the proximal shaft, providing increased stiffness when approaching the hepatic flexure. Advanced construction and materials reduce the potential for mechanical breakdown and associated maintenance. Ergonomically designed for efficiency and overall stress reduction, our Standard Colonoscopes come with a standard 12.8mm insertion tube diameter and either an extra-large 4.2mm working channel or a large 3.8mm working channel to offer greater flexibility in therapeutic treatment. A forward water jet function is incorporated for lavage in critical situations.
Failure patterns typical of this equipment class - general BMET reference, not verified against this exact unit's own service history unless flagged. Severity is a category-level estimate.
Symptoms: Stiff angulation, image artifacts.
Root cause: Repeat flexing / reprocessing.
Symptoms: Fogging, failed leak test.
Root cause: Damaged outer sheath.
Symptoms: No/poor image, color error.
Root cause: Sensor or cable failure.
Symptoms: Poor suction / irrigation.
Root cause: Debris in working channel.
The parts a BMET typically services on this class of equipment. Service class and relative cost are general engineering estimates for the category, not figures from this unit's documentation. Part numbers appear only when pulled from this unit's own service manual. Always confirm intervals and pricing against the manufacturer.
High-value R&R.
| Part | Service class | Relative cost | R&R difficulty |
|---|---|---|---|
| Working channel liner | Periodic replacement | $$$ | Difficult |
| Outer sheath / distal end | Periodic replacement | $$$$ | Expert-level |
| Angulation cable / mesh High-value R&R. | Periodic replacement | $$$$ | Expert-level |
| Image sensor module | Periodic replacement | $$$$ | Expert-level |
Relative cost: $ lowest · $$$$ highest service-part cost for this equipment class. Not a price.
Preventive-maintenance tasks typical of this equipment class. Perform to the manufacturer's procedure and your facility's policy - this is general reference, not a schedule for this specific unit.
A structured starting point derived from the failure modes above. Follow the manufacturer's service documentation for the actual procedure.
