AGFA · Model IMPAX RIS
Easy and efficient patient registration - From the moment the patient arrives, IMPAX RIS has a role to play. Demographic information is imported from the Hospital Information System (HIS) or entered manually. Electronic orders for exams are immediately available, along with scheduling information. Relevant information by Agfa's Scheduling Module, or other scheduling and ordering systems, remains available during the entire workflow, avoiding duplicate data entry. IMPAX RIS can be used as a standalone or a fully integrated system, and efficiently handles emergency cases and walk-ins. Comprehensive worklist management - The technologist's worklist provides an instant overview of the pending workload and direct access to the current exam. During the exam, information such as patient data, patient history and alerts is available to the technologist. Technologists can complete exam data and enter comments including use of consumables, contrast media, radiation dose and other specifics that are needed for correct quality management and billing. There is no need for duplication of data as IMPAX RIS seamlessly connects to modalities to allow smooth and secure distribution of patient demographic and procedure information. Immediate overview of patient history - With IMPAX RIS, a neatly presented chronological overview of the entire patient history, previous reports and order/exam details is available to radiology technical and administrative staff. This timely information is important for radiology support staff and helps them render an invaluable service to clinicians who may enquire for information about their patients. Hassle-free viewing and reporting - As soon as the exam is completed, the radiologist can report the findings. IMPAX RIS features desktop integration with Agfa's IMPAX and other Picture Archive and Communication Systems (PACS). With a click of the mouse, the radiologist selects the exams for interpretation, views current and prior images, accesses patient data and clinical notes and dictates results, all from a single workstation. All relevant patient and exam information - patient data, visit information, relevant priors, reporting history and scanned documents - is available on a single, separate monitor. With this bi-directionally synchronized RIS/PACS integration, data only needs to be entered once to be transmitted throughout the system. Fast and easy transcription - Transcriptionists can retrieve the list of reports to be typed out with just a click of a button. Manual input is minimized thanks to custom report templates and standard text formats. After transcription, reports are sent to the radiologists for validation and signature. Flexible and secure results distribution - Results can be distributed as customized templates, faxed and/or e-mailed to referring physicians and other interested parties. The IMPAX RIS supports output management services (OMS) including both routine batch distribution and on-demand distribution of results. The IMPAX RIS can also provide the results to the hospital's EPR through HL7 (Health Level Seven) interfaces. Accurate and automatic billing - IMPAX RIS captures billing data, including consumables used during the exam process. By supporting CPT-4 and ICD-9 codes that are sent to the billing system immediately after the exam is finished, IMPAX RIS significantly shortens billing time and ultimately speeds up revenue cycles. Extensive integration and communication options - IMPAX RIS can be used in any hospital: it performs just as well in small hospitals as it does in multi-facility university hospitals. Based on the Health Level Seven (HL7) standard, it can exchange messages relating to ADT, orders, appointments, results and billing with the HIS, PACS, digital modalities (DICOM based) and other systems. More features and functions: Secure data protection Scanning of paper forms Radiation management Film tracking Support of international finding codes.

A customer experienced when using IMPAX CV Reporting software, specifically, when building a NIV report, the NIV Cardio report was showing incorrect findings for Aneurysm.
Customers have experienced IMPAX CV software, specifically, Demographics Manager (DM), not producing correct pdf reports after the reports, at the time of physician signature, were correct.
Firm received a complaint that the hospital had sent two accession numbers over the same morning and on the Agility side the patient name was incorrect.
Failure to effectively install and test a hotfix to correct the known software defect within the IMPAX CV 7.8 SU3-OCR Service.
Patient name displayed (printed) on the Patient Report was the wrong patient name.
System downtime and/or slow performance may result if software in use is an old version of IMPAX and is not at current supported levels.
Software design error in IMPAX CV 7.8 SU3
Baseline pulmonary capillary wedge (PCW) pressure values from IMPAX CV Reporting Cardiac Catheterization module were not correctly transferring into the hospital's electronic health record (EHR) system.
Loss of patient data can occur under certain circumstances due to misconfiguration of DICOMstore configured with Agfa's Medical Image Storage Devices - Media Purge Daemon (MPD) and Cardiovascular Purge Service (CPS).
Content entered into the "Conclusions" free text box on the Report Writer screen was not represented on the final printed report.
When users selected "Left stenosis" in the "Graft Duplex Conclusion" section in IMPAX CV Reporting Non-Invasive(NIV) module, "Right stenosis" appeared in the sentence display within the printed representation of the report.
Improper merging of IMPAX Cardiovascular Results Management (RM) reports causes the signed report to become unavailable.
Incorrect entries in mapping files could lead to inaccurate measurement display in adult and pediatric echo reports when using the IMPAX CV Echo Measurement Import via Optical Character Recognition (OCR).
Potential for misattribution of data and for a report to become unavailable when the user requests for it to be moved to another study that already has a report associated with it.
Software issue that occurs after dictation of a study.
Customer error with the angiography (XA: X-Ray Angiography) measurement calibration functionality within the Cardiovascular Review Station resulted in improper calibration.
When a radiographer is working on two open studies on an NX workstation and, in specific situations, a problem of image/annotation mix-up can occur on the NX system.
A discrepancy in the validation testing which resulted in the product not performing as intended.
Echocardiography volume measurements performed within CRS were not reflected correctly in associated Results Management (RM) reports.
Agfa Service technician had incorrectly modified a report template at one site resulting in erroneous anatomic segment locators.
Measurements are inaccurate on multiple workstations.
HeartStation does not refresh content changes to the PDF reports that are printed emailed or faxed from the Index page. This may lead to a discrepancy in patient demographics between what is displayed in the HeartStation Client interface and the report delivered to the consumer. Questions are being directed to the local Agfa representative; the contact information was included in the letter.
User could modify a measurement's units and that change would not be reflected in echocardiography formulas used within the Adult echocardiography RM.
Polling procedure may fail when multiple merge/split is carried out.
The IMPAX client failed to "refresh" the image area upon receiving a study retrieved from archive. The system also erroneously displays this study retrieved from archive as the "active" study.
Reporting Differences: The Outbound Report software produces an Outbound Report (text version) which does not contain all the clinical content elements present in the PDF version of the report, also generated on the Nuclear Cardiology Reporting Module.
Failure of Data Transmission: No imaging data could be transmitted by the device, because a key value needed for data transmission was incorrectly entered in the affected units by AGFA Healthcare.
Text and Images may not be synchronized.
Java version 1.6x (JAVA 6) is not compatible with AGFA IMPAX Administration/Service Tools. Due to a Software Mismatch data can be lost.
Misidentification: The orthopedic planning X-ray images for one patient are misidentified as the images for another patient.
