For "Home Use" The new Omnistim FX2 Portable enables patients to extend the clinical benefits of TENS and PENS electrical stimulation after they have been discharged from their initial rehabilitation program. In many cases, it may also be recommended as an adjunct to the regular clinician-administered treatment plan. With its pre-set operational features, therapists can pre-program the unit with the proper treatment protocols for simple at-home patient use. The versatile unit offers pain management, as well as neuromuscular reeducation protocols. For pain management, gentle electrical stimulation is transmitted through electrode pads placed at or near the affected area, which helps block pain through nerve stimulation and a release of the body's own pain-relieving biochemicals. The Omnistim FX2 Portable is the only home stimulator that also offers Patterned Electrical Neuromuscular Stimulation (PENS) a patented electrical stimulation waveform that closely replicates the body's normal muscle and nerve firing patterns. This proprietary waveform can help re-educate muscles following an injury, surgical procedure or neuromuscular condition. The effect may be used to assist in the treatment of several neuromuscular and orthopedic diagnoses. The Omnistim FX2 Portable is easy to use and well-accepted by most patients.
